The preparer & Deglazer N°2 is the good solution when you can't remove all the paint stain from a midsole after using using the Preparer & Deglazer N°1. And more over this one is odorless so it's also a good way to have a break from solvents. 

Apply generously onto a lit free cloth and gently rub onto varnish film - avoid undue abrasion.
